It’s “Community over Competition” at THMA Symposiums

Four live demonstrations will highlight the upcoming Professional Development Symposium in Markham, Ont. But it’s the collegial environment and networking that makes these ongoing educational events so special.

We’re always proud to host Professional Development Symposiums. The learning never ends in medical aesthetics. And we think it’s important to provide a high-level networking opportunity for our members and others who are experienced in medical aesthetics or just getting into the field.

The nurses and doctors who come to our Symposiums are comfortable being together in the same sand box, sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues. The THMA strong focus on patient safety and patient care makes it easy to put community over competition. What’s shared could benefit patients in particular and promote the integrity of medical aesthetics in general.

We’re excited that the Symposium on May 5 will feature a varied list of topics that give practitioners a good look into developing trends in medical aesthetics (like Biostimulation and Exosomes).

Technology is once again changing the face of aesthetics – no pun intended – but it’s creating more and more opportunities these days for people to customize their practice.  It used to be that patients came to us only for Botox  and fillers, but new developments have opened up many more possible treatments. Lasers, IPL, and micro-needling devices are putting a fresh focus on skin quality and skin tightening that goes well beyond neuromodulators and fillers alone.

Attention East Coasters: THMA Hosts a Professional Development Symposium in Halifax on Sept 13-14.

 Live demonstrations in Markham will include Lips Enhancements, Biostimulator Treatments, Exosomes vs Jet Peel, and the Potenza Micro-Needling Laser. As well, Jennifer Holman NP will introduce everyone to the Authorized Prescriber for Aesthetic Nurses Society. APANS is bringing together Authorized Prescribers and implementers to ensure excellence in aesthetic care with high-level ethics, professional standards and top-tier patient care.

We are also thrilled to have so many exhibitors joining us. Members will be able to put a face on many of the reps they deal with in practice.
