FC-2A Neurotoxins: Pharmacology, Assessments, Techniques

Virtual Foundation Course 2A Neurotoxins: 12PM – 4PM ET.

Foundation Course 2A/2B on Pharmacology, Assessments on Techniques provides participants with a solid foundation of critical understanding and learning to build a successful practice in medical aesthetics.

The CNA-accredited Course 2A/2B provides separate didactic presentations and discussions on how medical aesthetic product knowledge, patient assessment skills and variations in injection techniques will promote a safe and effective practice.

Course 2A Neurotoxins Outline:

  1. Concepts of aging
  2. Facial assessment, consultation and patient expectations
  3. Importance of thorough medical histories
  4. Neurotoxin treatments
    a) Composition
    b) Precautions and contraindications
    c) Reconstitution and storage
    d) Treatment and injection procedure
    e) Adverse events and potential complications

An in-person and advanced review of this course will be completed in Course 4: Practical Skills and Hands-on Mentoring.

We are pleased that Tennessee Nurses Association will continue to recognize our Foundation Courses 1 and 2 as a “continuing nursing education activity of the highest standard,” meaning participating nurses will receive 10 contact hours for completion of Course 2.

Nurses who complete all four Foundation Courses in medical aesthetics training  will receive 40 Credit Hours that can be sent to Colleges as confirmation of skill maintenance.
