A Medical Director/AOA is mandatory to a medical aesthetics clinic when there are RNs or RPNs working within their scope of practice. Medical Directors/AOAs must be fully trained by a third-party training company to acquire the regulatory knowledge, skill and judgement to meet requirements for proficiency in patient safety and ethical care. Medical Directors/AOAs should take the role extremely serious and consider the value of their license when assuming directorships.
