Professional Development Symposiums are full-day opportunities for ongoing education in medical aesthetics with professional presentations and networking with colleagues and industry leaders. In Thornhill on April 23 and Halifax on September 16-17.

It’s not so much a retirement as a Bon Voyage. Yes, I have done my last clinical treatment in medical aesthetics. But in moving from Toronto to Halifax I am personally re-energizing and giving full professional attention to THMA Consulting training!

A disturbing trend, created by insecurities about self-image and fueled by the pandemic, has providers in medical aesthetics facing growing demand for unnecessary treatments. Education and training are first steps in dealing with an ethical dilemma.

With a passion for patient care and a keen interest in teaching, we knew Mark Harbora NP would be a perfect fit for our training and mentoring program in Edmonton.  “When Tracey asked me to join the THMA national training team,” Mark said, “I couldn’t say no!”

THMA members have always had post-training access to mentoring in medical aesthetics. We’re now pleased to offer a full package of training and mentoring to non- members. It’s strongly advised that everyone takes time to practice before going off on your own.

Northern Ontario nurse Meg Dowding is quite literally on the cusp of success in medical aesthetics. With support from THMA and her husband Dr. Chris Dowding, Meg is opening her own practice North Bay. And, yes, she’s named it Cusp Medical Aesthetics!

Alicia Moses won’t settle on just being pretty good at medical athletics. She wants to be really good at this! That’s why after her initial training with THMA and opening her own practice, she is continuing to improve through mentoring with THMA.
