Face to Face Education in Ottawa
Nurses and physicians in the specialty of aesthetic medicine who want to enhance their knowledge and aesthetic injections through a deep understanding of the anatomy are invited to join us on May 3, 2026 for the Ottawa Facial Anatomy Lab. This lab is open to basic and advanced injectors.
The instructor for the lab is Andreas Nikolis, MD, PhD, FRCSC. Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery McGill University.
The lab will include 6 hours in-lab education and will have a clinical instructor at each station.
This high-level education event at the University of Ottawa Skills and Simulation Centre will go well beyond a basic ’ cadaver lab.’ This is a high-level education experience that goes beyond your ‘basic’ cadaver lab. This 6-hour workshop will include a detailed anatomical journey accompanied by cadaveric discussion and live dissection.
Lab Objectives
Attendees will learn and practice injection techniques, dissect to visualize placement of soft tissue filler and botulinum toxin products. The 6-hour workshop will include a detailed anatomical journey accompanied by cadaveric pictures and live dissection.
Participants will:
- Understand the importance of anatomical layers to visualize placement of injection product
- Understanding aging in aesthetics through an anatomic perspective
- Identify high risk areas related to aesthetic injections through careful dissection
