THMA is absolutely thrilled to be bringing Learners and Legacies to Toronto in May. The highly regarded education event in aesthetic medicine is designed for newer injectors but the learning and networking will also benefit seasoned injectors. Learners and legacies will leave a lasting impression on all participants in Toronto -- just as it amazed me last year in North Carolina!

One of the most extraordinary things about Learners and Legacies is the concept of the event itself. In a relaxed and comfortable learning environment, the event brings injectors together with instructors who have years of experience. It’s absolutely awesome! 

The attending injectors will soak up a wealth of great knowledge on how to be to be highly skilled and safe in aesthetic medicine. They will hear how long-time professionals tackle challenges and can even learn from our mistakes.

Join your peers for a weekend of education and mentorship with some of North America's top aesthetic thought leaders in a smaller meeting setting. Ask questions, build a better foundation, and learn from injectors who created the ‘aesthetic injector’ role. Learners and Legacies faculty members are ready to pass the torch to you, the next generation!

Learners and Legacies is not solely for ‘brand new’ injector. Experienced injectors can gain a lot through this event, too. Learning never ends in aesthetics, of course. New developments and techniques for advancing skill sets will be discussed. The pearls of wisdom from those who have ‘been there, done that’ is always invaluable.

Here are the names and biographies of the Toronto Learners and Legacies Faculty.

 The exceptionally talented group of injectors and teachers at Learners and Legacies in Toronto has been personally selected for their vast experience, extensive knowledge and great passion for teaching. 

We have five highly respected professionals from the United States coming to Toronto on May 9 and May 10. Mary Beth Hagen, co-founder of TITAN Aesthetics, is the brains behind Learners and Legacies. The US nurses are Dawn Sagrillo (Milwaukee, WI), Georgia Cirese (Kansas City, MO), Haley Wood (Nashville, TN) and Shelia Anderson (NC). I will host and speak at the event. I’m proud to have three of Canada’s best clinical trainers at THMA joining me for presentations and panel discussions: Corey Akisanya (Ottawa, ON) Jacklyn Sudetic (Oakville, ON) and Jackie Connors (St. John’s, NL). Tracey Manusco (Toronto) has been added as a special guest, speaking Saturday on how to maximize efficiencies and revenues in aesthetic practices. 

All will be speaking on topics of importance to professionals in aesthetic medicine. There will also be panel discussions and open communications with all instructors. An engaging highlight will see the lead instructors moving around the room, sitting at all tables with the attendees, sharing info on specific topics and answering questions.

Another wonderful thing about this two days of peer-to-peer learning is the completely comfortable and supportive approach of Learners and Legacies. That made an immediate and lasting impression on me when I went to the Learners and Legacies event in North Carolina in 2024. 

No fancy clothes, no social media, no partying all night. No-one has to worry about getting dressed up or taking selfies. Everyone spends the whole weekend together, learning and networking. Staying in the hotel isn’t mandatory but is an option for all attendees. Without distraction, you advance your education in aesthetic medicine in a perfect environment for learning and collaborating. You’ll make a lot of new friends, too!

Personally, I can’t say enough about how positive this experience was for me last year and will be for you. Quite honestly, we’re lucky to be practicing at a time where there are opportunities like this for learning and raising the standards in aesthetic medicine. Throughout my career I have been an advocate for safe and ethical practices for nurses. The Learners and Legacies event is a fulfillment of a shared commitment to excellence in a specialty we all love.
