Six Reasons for Optimism on Growth in Medical Aesthetics

A recent survey on the U.S. medical aesthetics industry and consumers is delivering great reasons for optimism for providers in Canada. The analytical report highlights current growth and a potential upsurge for those in practice now or considering a career in medical aesthetics.

The current market in Canada and the US has been climbing steadily since 2019. An increasingly diverse consumer base is expected to continue growing by as much as 14% over the next couple of years. Consumers are increasing open to having treatments. We can thank social media for some of that. They are prepared to spend money, but are also looking more for cost-effective products and treatment.

The report from the McKinsey and Company survey concludes by saying the market is still ‘underpenetrated’ and now is “an opportune time to capitalize on current and projected consumer demand for medical aesthetics.”

The following is an edited version of the article on the McKinsey survey and analysis of the medical athletics industry in the United States. Trends tend to be the same in Canada as in the U.S.  Click here for the full report.
