Supplementary Courses in PRP Treatments (10am – 1pm) and Deoxycholic Acid Treatments (2pm – 4pm) will be held at Head Office, 430 Hazeldean Rd, Kanata, Ont.

PRP Treatments: Supplementary Course –  10am-1pm

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments are used in medical aesthetics for the regeneration of skin tissue and restoration of hair follicles.  With its healing and cell growth capabilities, PRP gives patients more youthful looking skin with improved tone and texture. In hair restoration procedures, PRP works to make hair follicles stronger and hair thicker.

Tracey’s Blog: Patient demand growing for PRP treatments in medical aesthetics

For practitioners wishing to add PRP to their current practice, this Supplementary Course will review unique components of blood product, the action mechanism of plasma and the evidence-based outcomes of the PRP procedure. The expert training highlights procedure techniques and policy development for clinical practice. A full didactic discussion of the PRP procedure will include the most effective and recommended equipment.

Note: Participating practitioners must provide one or two patients for the hands-on mentoring session.

Deoxycholic Acid Treatments: Supplementary Course – 1pm-3pm

Deoxycholic acid works to dissolve fat tissues when injected into the body. Cosmetic treatments using deoxycholic acid are growing more popular in medical aesthetics practices and are effective in the reduction of submental fat, most commonly in the jawline, neck and under the chin.

This Supplementary Course will discuss the submandibular anatomy, relevant blood vessels and nerves. A review of appropriate landmarks essential to the procedure will be included. Participating practitioners will learn the assessment process, step-by-step procedure policies and the management of potential complications.

The training includes in-class discussion and procedure mentoring on one or two patients provided by the practitioner.
