Therapeutic Uses of Botulinum Toxin A

 

This virtual Supplementary Course is a primary in-depth introduction to neurotoxin treatments of chronic migraines, TMJ pain and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).  . The evidence-based education is accompanied  technique instruction on by patient delivery technique to ensure the practice meets the standards of quality assurance required by provincial colleges.

The two-hour online course will use research and clinical evidence to provide practitioners with a thorough understanding of the treatment’s unique anatomy, analysis, physiology, and pharmacology.

  1. Overview of hyperhidrosis, migraine and TMJ  data
  2. Anatomy and physiology
  3. Primary and secondary hyperhidrosis
  4. Clinical and diagnostic criteria
  5. Lines of treatment
  6. Therapeutic treatments with neurotoxins
  7. Practice and protocol

Neurotoxin therapies are clinically proven to be effective in treating Hyperhidrosis (or excessive sweating), TMJ Pain and Chronic Migraines.
