Deoxycholic acid works to dissolve fat tissues when injected into the body. Cosmetic treatments using deoxycholic acid are growing more popular in medical aesthetics practices and are effective in the reduction of submental fat, most commonly in the jawline, neck and under the chin.
This advanced course will discuss the submandibular anatomy, relevant blood vessels and nerves. A review of appropriate landmarks essential to the procedure will be included.
Participating practitioners looking to augment current practices will learn the assessment process, step-by-step procedure policies and the management of potential complications.
The 2-hour session includes in-class discussion with instruction and mentoring on injection procedures. Participants must bring one or two models-patients to assist with their training.
Learn more about the training theory and components in our Supplementary Courses page.
